The Spark – My Cat, Anfisa, and a Market Gap
Meet My Muse: Anfisa, The Cat Who Started It All
I’ve loved cats since childhood. But the real adventure began 15 years ago when my husband and I started traveling with our beloved feline, Anfisa. She is my muse, my model, and my 15-year-old quality control expert!
As a young cat parent who loved to travel, I quickly hit a frustrating roadblock:
"I couldn't find a single cat harness that was truly comfortable, secure, and stylish. Everything seemed designed for dogs, or it was just flimsy. The market lacked sophisticated gear made specifically with a cat’s needs in mind."
The solution, I decided, was to make it myself. I started small, crafting the very first prototype: a tweed vest harness for Anfisa, designed for maximum safety and comfort, complete with those fun, detachable wings. Friends and fellow cat owners took notice. The initial spark quickly turned into a mission.

Our Upcycling Commitment: I’m big on sustainability! For our leather items, we actually use high-quality upcycled leather from salvaged goods. That means we never use new leather. It’s our small way of helping the planet while giving beautiful materials a fantastic second life!
The 6-Month Test: Vetted by Cats
New product development isn't fast here—it can take anywhere from 2 to 6 months! Why? Because I refuse to compromise on your cat's safety or comfort.

The Spark: It starts with a new idea from me or a great suggestion from one of you!

The Anfisa Trial: I draft the pattern, sew the first prototype, and then it’s time for my sweet girl, Anfisa, to step in! She’s the chief tester. We check the fit, adjust the seams, and make sure she can move perfectly.

Field Testing: For complex items (like our raincoats), I send samples to friends with different breeds for real-world testing. They send me photos and feedback, and we keep tweaking until every detail is perfect.
Only when I’m 100% happy with the safety, comfort, and style does the product get photographed and offered to you! That's the beauty of handmade — it means uncompromising quality control.

Seasonal Helpers: During busy periods, 2-3 additional local, talented seamstresses join us, ensuring we maintain our strict quality standards while meeting demand.
